New York-based photographer, art director and creative, Giovanna Perassi has called the city home since 2022. Working across both digital and film, her work lives somewhere between documentary and diary — drawn to capturing life exactly as it happens, without staging or forcing a moment, whether it's a quiet detail on a city street or the way light falls across someone's hands.
Her personal work centers on landscape, street, and travel photography, with an eye for natural light and composition. She leaves room for interpretation, favoring images that make you sit with a feeling rather than explain it to you.
In both commercial and editorial environments, Giovanna works across fashion, architecture, and aerial photography, and directs and edits social media video content for brands, several of which have run as paid ads. Projects like MOCSI, shot in São Paulo, bring both sides of her work together, using composition, light, and movement to tell stories rooted in culture and place.
Whether shooting a campaign or a quiet moment on the street, the instinct stays the same: pay attention, wait for the real thing, and let the image speak for itself.
